MECHANICAL ENGINEER

 

Roles and Functions :

Scope : Utilities , Machinery , Mold and Tools

Key Roles

Task

1. Plant Lay out and utilities and machine set up

 

   1) Plant lay out , utilities - machines spec. and  drawing

1.1) Review and maintain mechanic device of machines and utilities lay out specification

        Molds and Tools

         and drawing

   2) Machines Installation and Test run

2.1) Installation plan and budget

        Molds and Tools

2.2) Study machine spec. , machine installation manual and create check items

 

2.3) Control and supervise to technician or outsource

 

2.4) Checking and confirmation machine condition and safety

 

2.5) Test run with concerned section

 

2.6) Machine parameter records (First efficiency records) and history

 

2.7) Create machines operation and maintenance manual and determine the daily machine

 

        check method for production and provide the training

2. Preventive Maintenance (PM)

 

  1) Preventive maintenance of machines and utilities

1.1) Data collection of specification, drawing and machine manual

 

1.2) History and break down maintenance records

 

1.3) Study and analysis data to prepare preventive maintenance  periodical plan by

 

        weekly , monthly, annually and overhaul plan

 

        - Determine the checking and maintenance method and duration

 

        - Planning and procurement of spare parts-equipment, manpower and approval budget

 

1.4) Control and Supervise the performance of technicians to achieve PM plan

 

1.5) Coordinate preventive maintenance plan with Planning and concerned sections

 

1.6) Prepare , summary and maintain machine PM records.

3. Break down maintenance (BM)

 

   1) Evaluate and analyze of machine failure

1.1) Diagnose problems and find out the cause of machine failure

 

1.2) Determine the maintenance method and due date

 

1.3) Preparing plan of spare parts - method and manpower

   2) Control and supervise repair or replacement

2.1) Supervise to technician for repair or replacement of equipment

       of equipment

2.2) Check and confirm integrity before deliver to user

 

2.3) Prepare , summary and maintain BM records

 

2.4) Create trouble shooting manual in case machine failure and training  to technician

 

        production foreman and operators

   3) Preventive action for machine failure

3.1) Machine break down analysis

 

3.2) Review and improve (if necessary) preventive maintenance(PM) standard

 

3.3) Review and improve (if necessary) parts specification

 

3.4) Review and improve (if necessary) machine operation

3. Predictive maintenance

 

    1) Creat predictive maintenance  (Trend analysis) 

1.1) Collect data, analyze and parameter and control limit  such as heat , vibration , noise , etc.

 

1.2) Determine predictive maintenance standard

4. Opimization of machines and utilities

 

   1) Increase the efficiency of machines

1.1) Understanding machine capabilities , operating and working environment

       to reduce total cost of operation

1.2) Machines development

 

1.3) Equipment , jigs and tools development for increase operation  efficiency

 

1.4) Improvement plan , implention and evaluation

   2) Upgrade technology

2.1) Study or catch up the technology

5. Spare Parts

1.1) Create spare parts list , lifetime , lead time and drawing

 

1.2) Determine stock (min-max) only necessary parts

 

1.3) Stock control and review

 

1.4) Create supplier / maker

 

1.5) Cost calculation or BOQ of work to order (support to purchasing section)
